Kris died in her sleep of leukemia  at Hospice of Dayton on July 5, 2014

She is survived by her father, brother, and extended family. After living for some time in NYC, she returned to Dayton where she worked in a variety of positions including independent travel consultant. She traveled many places over the years, but enjoyed her neighbors, friends, and gardens in the Oregon district. Her obituary was in the July 20, 2014 Dayton Daily News.
